It’s the one time of year to enjoy a good fright, go apple picking, drink pumpkin spice latte’s, and get lost in a corn maze. The following events are sure to indulge your favorite Fall day-dreams.

Fall Festivals & Events

Denver Botanic Gardens Corn Maze

When: September 15th – October 29th
Where: Denver Botanic Gardens – Chatfield Farms

Wind your way through seven acres of corn. The maze can be viewed from two 15-foot tall illuminated bridges. Visitors under the age of 10 can explore the mini-maze.

Tickets include one hayride, barrel train ride (for children 12 and under) and unlimited jumping on a giant pillow. Pony rides and hamster balls are available for an additional fee. An array of food vendors sell favorite fall foods such as funnel cakes, hotdogs, freshly squeezed lemonade, and kettle corn.

Chatfield Farms Corn Maze | Fall & Halloween Events

When: September 30th – October 29th
Where: Harvest Farm

Families of all ages are invited to enjoy fall fun this October at Denver Rescue Mission’s 15th Annual Harvest Farm Fall Festival & Corn Maze. Activities include a 10-acre corn maze, corn cannons, yard games, food trucks, natural play areas, petting zoo, pig races, hay wagon rides, and much more.

Punkin’ Chunkin’ Colorado

When: October 6th & 8th
Where: Arapahoe County Fairgrounds

Punkin’ Chunkin’ Colorado is the signature fall event presented by the City of Aurora and Chambers Wine & Liquor. The event features a pumpkin chunking competition that is one of only five such events sanctioned by the World Championship Punkin’ Chunkin’ organization.

The fun-filled, three-day event also features family-friendly festival activities like live music, face painting, pony rides, crafts, a pumpkin patch and blow-up corn maze. A variety of food and beverage vendors satisfy any craving. Cheer on your favorite team as they compete to see how far pumpkins can fly using a variety of wild contraptions.


Reynolds Ranch Harvest Festival

When: October 7th – 8th
Where: The Western Museum of Mining and Industry

Looking for a way to celebrate the beauty of fall? Bring your family to the Western Museum of Mining & Industry for the annual Reynolds Ranch Harvest Festival. On Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th WMMI will open up the historic 27 acres located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains for a celebration of all things fall!

The event will feature a pumpkin patch, hayrides, food trucks, and craft vendors! The popular Gold Canyon Gunfighters will be back again to wow the crowds. Visitors can witness the operating stamp mill and blacksmith shop as well as hear the roar of the museum’s working steam engines. There will be crafts, fun activities for kids, and face painting!

Where: Four Mile Historic Park

Celebrate the arrival of autumn with old-fashioned fun at this beloved annual event! Build your own scarecrow, select your favorite pumpkin from the patch, and tour the park in a horse-drawn wagon. Explore how 19th-century Coloradans lived and prepared for the season, with historic demonstrations and tours of the Four Mile House Museum. Try your luck at county fair games, and enjoy delicious treats from the beer garden and local food trucks.

Denver Botanic Gardens Pumpkin Festival

When: October 13th – 15th
Where: Denver Botanic Gardens – Chatfield Farms

Enjoy a day of fall activities at Chatfield Farms. Ticket price includes access to the 10-acre pumpkin patch and family and children’s activities. Pumpkin prices vary by size; the average price is $8. It is recommended to bring a wagon to transport pumpkins. Free pumpkin daycare is available while you enjoy the rest of the festival.

Harvest Festival and Trick Or Treat Street

Where: Main Street, Elizabeth

The local community gets together for a fun day of activities, checking out the vendors, trick or treating all around town & more! The first 100 adult visitors to the Chamber Booth will receive a SWAG BAG! They are planning some fun activities for this year’s festival.

Denver Zombie Crawl

When: October 7th
Where: Skyline Park

For over a decade, Denver has celebrated a tradition in which citizens share excitement in the fun and scary holiday season by dressing up as the undead, sharing local killer dealskiller deals, and zombie parties. Planned by those who know the season the best, the Denver Zombie Crawl is a legendary, must-attend, October event!

Inaugural Broadway Halloween Parade

When: October 21st
Where: Broadway between Alameda and 3rd Avenue

Stretching from 3rd Avenue to Alameda along Broadway, the inaugural Broadway Halloween Parade will feature various spooky floats, bands, and marchers. All attendees are encouraged to join in the fun by wearing your favorite Halloween costume. At the end of the parade, all are asked to march in the street to bring the Halloween bash to a close.

Zombie Zone

Enjoy this annual family zombie event in October at the Denver Pavilions, featuring fun horror related vendors, activities, and a zombie fashion show early in the evening.

Trick Or Treat Street

Where: Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus

For three days, the Children’s Museum will host the most boo-tiful fall festival in town! March from one Treat House to the next and collect goodies, play carnival games, create Halloween crafts, and more. It’s the ultimate safe Halloween adventure, bursting with excitement for everyone!
